Changing & Learning

A Content and Reflection Portfolio

Calendar and General Information

The Fall 2013 QEP Faculty Professional Development Calendar provides the time frame for accessing learning resources for each module.  You will also find the dates, times, and section numbers for each F2F session.

A copy of the General Information sent to you via email can be viewed here.

The question and answer format of the modules provides a structure to help you build understanding and scaffold important concepts found in this work. Consider working on each module "over time" rather than marching through it in a single session.  Give yourself an opportunity to think through the ideas, research, and resources. You'll be asked to create a reflection after each F2F session.  You may find it helpful to capture some of your thinking as you work. How did you feel?  What did you notice?

When you are asked to read the FULL TEXT of an article, it will often be followed by a summary excerpt of the article.  This is intended to synthesize the key ideas for later review.

You can download and print any file embedded in this portfolio.  Consider downloading, saving, and even adapting some of the resources found in the portfolio for use in your classes.

"When they do think about intelligence, many people believe that a person is either born smart, average, or dumb - and stays that way for life. But new research shows that the brain is more like a muscle - it changes and gets stronger when you use it."                        Lisa Blackwell
